4. Advertising and App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

The free version of our app displays ads through Google AdMob. On iOS devices, in accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, we request your explicit permission before accessing your device advertising identifier (IDFA).

If you grant permission: You will see personalized ads tailored to your interests and usage habits.
If you decline: You will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized, generic ads. The app remains fully functional.

You can change your tracking preference at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

We use the following third-party service providers to deliver and improve our service:

6. Data Retention

Account Information: Retained while your account is active and permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
Usage Data: Retained while your account is active; anonymized for statistical purposes upon deletion.
Device and Ad Data: Processed temporarily during the session; not stored permanently.
Subscription Information: Retained for the period required by law (minimum 5 years).

7. Auto-Renewing Subscriptions

NCLEX AI Premium is an auto-renewing subscription service:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon purchase confirmation.
The subscription automatically renews at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when a paid subscription is purchased.
Manage or cancel your subscription on iOS via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; on Android via Google Play Store > Subscriptions.

8. Account Deletion

To delete your account and all associated personal data:

In-App: Go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account.
Email: Send a deletion request to [email protected].

After your request is received:

All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Anonymous statistical data (e.g., aggregate question counts) may be retained.
If you have an active Premium subscription, please cancel it in the store first; otherwise charges may continue.

9. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete it. Parents or guardians may contact us at [email protected].

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
Opt-Out (California/CCPA): California residents may opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
